Enlarged 2500X,this model shows the structures that combine to form the functional neuron.The durable,molded plastic model is designed in two sections:

the perikaryon cut open to expose the nucleus of the cell,neurite cone,dendrites and fexible synaptic terminals;and the peripheral nerve with sheaths,including the Schwann cell with nucleus,the Schwann sheath,the neuraxon and mitochondria.In all there are 14 keyed structures
